Chinese Name Tattoo · 纹身中文名

Your Chinese name.
Three styles. Reviewed before you ink.

A tattoo is permanent — and for Chinese, the real risk is almost never “pretty font or not.” It's wrong meaning, wrong culture, or characters that read as an insult when combined. GoChineseName starts with meaning review and phrase-level coherence, then layers three design styles — so stylistic flair never outruns readability.

Meaning review · 含义核验

We are not a font website — we're a Chinese naming company.

Font generators print whatever characters you type. They cannot tell you whether the phrase is natural, appropriate, or accidentally ridiculous in modern Mandarin. Naming is fundamentally about semantics plus social optics — tone flow, elemental fit, slang collisions, regional nuance — long before strokes get inked onto skin.

Tattoo Package bundles meaning review (characters + composite phrase + readability checks) with three high-fidelity stylistic renders. If the meaning looks unsafe, we stop you before any pretty line art — that is the moat font sites cannot copy.

Deep dive: Chinese tattoo font vs. meaning — why pretty strokes are not enough.

Choose the style that speaks to you

01

Flash brush 行楷手稿

Ma Shan Zheng — OFL

Large brush regular script from the Ma Shan Zheng family — high contrast, long entry strokes, reads like tattoo flash line work rather than textbook type.

Brush tattoo silhouette

Strong "street sheet" personality

Open-source OFL

02

Traditional heavy 繁体厚重

LXGW WenKai TC — SIL

Traditional Chinese glyph set with the LXGW WenKai voice — paired with heavier rendered strokes in-app so it carries on skin like a denser shop reference.

HK / Taiwan character forms

Tuned fat weight for stencils

Same OFL family you can ship

03

Chunk round 厚圆字潮

ZCOOL QingKe HuangYou — OFL

Rounded, poster-style display letters — closer to sticker / streetwear lettering than book text. Simplified-character focused; switch to 简体 in the tool to preview.

Bold silhouette at small sizes

Rounded joints easier to trace

Simplified-first charset

4 mistakes that ruin Chinese tattoos

01

Character meaning drift

The same syllable can be written with dozens of different characters, each with a distinct meaning. "Jiāng" alone covers 江 (river), 将 (general), 僵 (stiff), and 浆 (pulp). Without careful character choice, a phonetic generator may choose the wrong one.

02

Combination meaning

Characters that look fine individually can form unintended phrases together. 二 (two) and 货 (goods) are both innocent in isolation — combined as 二货 it's a common insult. A fluent-speaker read of the full name as a unit is essential.

03

Script execution errors

Some tattoo artists trace Chinese text from low-resolution online images, introducing stroke errors that fundamentally change character identity. Providing a high-res vector source file eliminates this risk.

04

Simplified vs Traditional

Mainland China uses Simplified characters; Taiwan, Hong Kong, and many overseas communities use Traditional. The two systems differ significantly for some characters. Know which version you want before the needle touches skin.
